Modern Jazz & Lyrical Dance Classes

These classes are based on the Association of International Dance Teachers. Students learn expressive movement and patterning through both lyrical and traditional jazz styles. Students are placed according to age and ability. Opportunities to participate in formal exams are at the discretion of the teacher.

 

Levels Include:

Children's Grades Pre Grade Stepping Stones Primary 1st Grade 2nd Grade 3rd Grade 4th Grade Final Grade

Preliminary Grades Pre Level I Pre Level II Senior Level I Senior Level II Senior Level III

Major Grades Preliminary Junior Preliminary Elementary Intermediate Advanced

 

Uniform & Appearance:

Girls

• Black jazz oxfords (no split soles until 3rd Grade)
• Pink tights
• Burgundy body suit (tank style) – Pre Grade to 2nd Grade
• Navy bodysuit (tank style) – 3rd Grade to Advanced

Hair

• Hair in a bun (bangs off face)

Boys

• Black jazz oxfords and white socks
• Black jazz pants or black shorts
• White T-shirt
